"Merzi is my favorite fast casual restaurant in the Penn Quarter area. I love coming here on Wednesdays for the government employees discount! Customizable Indian food really hits the spot during a long midweek work day. The butter chicken is delicious, as are all of the add-ons, and the naan bread is spongy, warm, and filling."

"Awesome upscale quick service fast casual food. Basically it's like Chipotle but with Indian food (aka my dream). Friendly service and massive portions too!"

"This is my go-to on UberEats! My order is consistently delicious and I always get what I order. I really enjoy the lettuce bowl with either chicken or paneer. I tend to pile it high with toppings, and the light portion ends up being so much food it could easily be two meals...It's a fun fusion take on fast casual Indian."

"Discovered this place randomly and I'm so glad I did. Like others said, it's like an Indian Chipotle. It's delicious, fresh, reasonably priced, and they have a nice variety of sauces and toppings. My boyfriend and I ordered the rice bowl with chicken and one was enough for both of us. I've also taken leftovers home and it's still delicious the next day. Highly recommend this place!"

"Indian food isn’t known for being the kind of cuisine you can cook or even eat in a hurry, but quick-service restaurant Merzi in Penn Quarter is trying to start a “food revolution” to change that."

"This is an excellent concept, I'll call it Indian Chipotle. You pick your base, rice veggies lettuce etc. Pick protein; chicken, lamb or steak. Then some veggies and sauces. You end up with a pretty filling bowl. It's fast and it's healthy. They have an excellent iced tea. The inside is really nice welcoming and comfortable. If I worked around here I would get lunch here ate least once a week."
